On Sept. 16, the second business day of Tokyo Game Show, Namco Bandai will be hosting a conference for the Tales of series. In Japan, Tales of Xillia and Tales of the Abyss 3D have been released, so it's time for new information.
While this is far from a confirmation, this week in an interview with Dengeki PlayStation, series producer Makoto Yoshizumi stated that the studio was working on the next game in the series. When asked about the Vita, Yoshizumi claimed to be "actively thinking about developments" for Tales of games on the Vita, and "expects to be able to share some news shortly." If he's planning to share news, what better time than a conference at TGS? And if he's going to be talking about the Vita, I highly doubt he'll be sharing news that the company is NOT working on a Vita Tales of game.
Along with that, the rumor mill is running very high of a new God Eater title for Vita, as well. That one is a stretch right now, though there are Japanese blog rumors abound about it right now. Namco Bandai is planning another game announcement or two, but we will know next week for certain.
