Crossplay on Dead or Alive 5 Plus

When Dead or Alive 5 Plus launches on March 19, PlayStation Vita owners will not only be able to play DOA5+ on the go, but they will also be able to play online with PS3 gamers much like in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. The developer claims that both PS3 and Vita will offer a 60fps experience, even online, so there should be "no lag or slowdown even when playing on different devices." There will be a system icon by the character's name, so that it will show which version someone in playing online or via the in-game ranking system.

That's not where the cross connectivity ends, as players can move saved data between both systems and unlocked and purchased DLC will also be available across both. If a player unlocks a costume in-game on PS3, they can share that data with the Vita version. If a player buys a new stages on the Vita, it will be compatible with their PS3 version.

Follow @TeamNinjaStudio for more details, but for now enjoy these new screens. Tecmo Koei has Dead or Alive Plus listed on Amazon for $39.99, so it will apparently be available both physically and on the PlayStation Network when it releases in March.

...oh, and you can fight in first-person holding the screen sideways, but why would you want to do that??
